Rutledge Medical To Release New Surgical Products at ACVS 2023
TULSA, OKLAHOMA — After the success of their flexible endoscope line, the AURORA Series, Tulsa-based Rutledge Medical is launching more veterinary health innovations at the American College of Veterinary Surgeons Summit 2023 in Louisville this October. Their new 4k surgical platform, PHOENIX, is expected to create waves with veterinary surgeons worldwide.
“We are so excited to release our new products after months of intense research and testing, we’ve finally made it” said William Rutledge, founder and CEO of Rutledge Medical, “our new PHOENIX 4k Surgical Endoscopy System will be unmatched in it’s image quality.”
Utilizing 4K optical technology, the PHOENIX system features a precise image reproduction with a 4 million pixel camera head. In addition, 0ur specifically designed 4K telescopes add another dimension of clarity and precision detail.
“We designed this system to provide veterinarians the same technology used in human healthcare facilities, but at a fraction of the cost,” said Rick Rutledge, Chief Operating Officer, “because our animals are companions, whether or not they have any other purpose, they’re still family to most of us so they should be able to get the same treatment as their patient owners, it’s the least we can do for them.”
Completing the system is a 50W Dual LED Light Source with a near 7000 kelvin true white color. This provides the precision reproduction of the vascularity and anatomy in the patient cavities. The Dual LEDs have a 50,000 hour life expectancy, so the cost of ownership is greatly reduced by nearly $1000 per year with the lack of bulb replacement requirements.
A full hands on demonstration unit will be available for clinicians during the Surgery Summit. “Our training pods are a great way to get an idea of a gas filled cavity using our scopes, it should provide a realistic representation for attendees,” said Rutledge.
Orders are expected to begin in November 2023.
