Equine Dynamic Laryngoscopy
New Diagnostic Technology with Power!
The VENDOTECH Equine Dynamic Laryngoscope is a modern, purpose-built system for exercising upper-airway evaluations, designed around the real-world needs of equine veterinarians. Its head-mounted, rail-guided scope with magnetic tension and positive locking delivers stable, hands-free positioning even during intense movement. A rigid, pre-shaped shaft with limited distal articulation maintains shape integrity, reduces kinking, and helps minimize mucosal trauma and epistaxis. By eliminating a working channel, the EDL simplifies biosecurity and reprocessing, requiring only surface disinfection while still providing effective forward-flow lens cleaning. Fully wireless operation, integrated LED illumination, onboard recording, and a patent-pending automatic high-pressure lens-cleaning system combine to deliver a highly mobile, reliable platform that improves visualization, efficiency, and confidence during dynamic airway exams.
Advanced Manufacturing Means Better Diagnosis.
Simple Lightweight Setup
The EDL’s head-mounted endoscope control system glides along a U-shaped sliding rail, allowing precise axial positioning that stays locked in place—even when the horse moves aggressively. Magnetic tension provides smooth adjustability, and once the ideal viewing distance is achieved, a simple mechanical lock secures the scope for the duration of the exam. The lightest and least intrusive equine dynamic endoscope on the market.
Powerful Wireless Transmission
Advanced wireless transmission technology allows our dynamic scope to offer acres of reception coverage. That means coverage from the entire racetrack or arena. We apologize to our competitors, apparently it was so strong at AAEP that we unintentionally interfered with their signal. Our bad.
Durable Construction
Unlike flexible scopes that fatigue, deform, or kink, the EDL uses a rigid pre-shaped shaft with only the distal 10cm offering 4-way articulation. This preserves shape integrity, prevents bending damage, and minimizes the risk of mucosal trauma or nosebleeds during removal. The shaft can also rotate 30° radially, ensuring proper nostril alignment without forcing the scope.
Low Stress Patient Setup
The compact processor control unit mounts to the adjustable belt and saddle pad, featuring a 5” positioning monitor and a 5.8GHz long-range transmitter for stable video over several hundred meters. Footage is recorded directly to an SD card in standard format, and the system recharges via a USB-C connection.
Every Angle Covered
Three integrated LEDs provide strong, even illumination without an external light source, enabling a completely wireless setup. Low power draw allows multiple laryngoscopies (typically three or more) per battery charge. Where competing systems rely on manual flushing or low-pressure irrigation, the EDL introduces a patent-pending automatic high-pressure rinsing system. A simple reservoir (such as a syringe) generates a short, powerful 0.2-second jet that reliably clears debris from the lens. Interval settings (1–5 minutes) allow hands-free cleaning throughout the exam.
